Dear Al,
I just had the need to tell you that we lost one of our twin daughters, Jessica.
We are still not sure what happened to her as it is under investigation. This
has been a very difficult month for us and the holidays seem to add to the
grief we are feeling. Mac, Jennifer, Tara and myself appreciate the wishes that
you sent us for a happy new year, and of course wish the same for you.

Ever heard of "Hanged Men?"
These are people who have had a sentance passed over them much like the old star chamber in england, it's not an
official court, but it's binding. Freemasons pass this sentance, then action it using enforcements already in place
in society to exact their "justice"
I know i look like i am over there with the fairies but trust me, i was a mason and can speak from personal knowledge.

Al,
After reading all those Dylan and Beatle books, your name has become very familiar to me. I didn't grow up
in NYC during the 60's and 70's so I missed out on your columns, however, I do remember you being
interviewed for that History of Rock documentary on PBS about 10 years ago. I enjoyed when you recounted
the time The Beatles first landed in NYC - 1964, and faced the "tough" NY press. As you said, they were so
charming and full of that Liverpudlian (Irish?) wit that the hard ass press could only smile. It must
have been great to be part of that scene.
I'm not sure if you remember Joel Oppenheimer. He was a professor at my school and was a bit of a beat
writer in NYC. I ask this because you seemed to have crossed paths with all the cool ones. Anyway, let me
just say that I enjoy your website and the fact that I can write you. I'll bet John Lennon would have loved
this whole internet thing.

Hi there
I have just read your piece on 116 Macdougal Street. I worked at the Scrap Bar for 5
years (1988/93) and I never knew the full history of the building although did know that
Bill Cosby used too wash dishes there, Barbara Streisend passed through the
doors, also during my time I think we had almost every heavy rock star of the day in
there.
If only the walls could talk!!
It was a very exciting period of my life and now that I am older and have returned to
my native England I look back fondly on those days and now and then when I'm with
company and we talk about times past I think to myself "If only they knew."
