BEAR HYPES A COMIC BOOK HERO

In re the reviews of Matrix and X-men
I wish someone would do a really good version of Dr. Strange, in my opinion the best and most Sci-fi of the Marvel
comic book heroes. It has the science, some aspects of the psychedelic world (shaman always
use the mind altering drugs freely) and also the mysterious powers of magic, all entwined. Parallel universes give a lot of
freeboard. It could be a real treat.

Bear

This one is rubbish. You really should not publish people who can't write, or who write nonsense badly.

Josh,
I just found "Adventures at the Bottom of the Music Trade" on line and read it. You completely took me back to Regent. Your description of that time in that
place is brilliant. I hope that life is treating you well.

REMEMBERING RICK
PHILP

Al,
Somehow Rick Philp's younger brother Steve had my e-mail address and contacted me because he heard I had a
digitized Myddle Class album. He was hoping to hear the 70 seconds of his dear brother improvising. He apparently
had never heard it.
Steve is a guitarist, and for all I can tell has spent his whole life honoring his beloved brother's memory through
his own love of music and love of the guitar. I sent him a copy and through his thanks I sense that it was rather a
major milestone in his life - a bridging of the past and present that brought him to tears.
I let him know that you were really the one to thank and how supportive you have been.
He has been trying to contact the other band members maybe to get some closure on lingering emotions.
Yours truly -
Robert E. Johnson - Advanced Technology

Dear Al -Hi. Hope you are keeping all right. Just thought you might be interested to know that you are
mentioned in a new book called Carry That Weight---the story behind The Beatles---by Geoffrey
Guiliano. Something to do with you, Bob Dylan and the Fab Four smoking a joint together. I can mail you
a copy of the article in the "Daily Mail" if you like. Why don't you write your own life story? Best wishes. Joyce.

I ran with Ted for four years in Europe. I introduced him to Brother Stokley and he made peace between me
and Michael X. I took him to hear the Liverpool Scene and they really had a good time.
What Ted brought was a sense of fun. He nattered me about drinking, dressing for readings and turned me on
the good hash and good food. He was completely fearless, yet curbed the violence of others. He
defused the London Police when they were about to arrest him and George Ware, Ted had the laughing.
He loved food, pussy and art. He was respected by many surprising people. Al, I miss him; who is left to teach the young?

Africa's newspapers debate the lack of co-ordinated international effort to solve the crisis in Liberia. There
is also widespread condemnation of Liberian president Charles Taylor, seen as the cause of much of the
country's woes. http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/em/fr/-/2/hi/africa/3006120.stm

Hello Al, I always feel like I pissed you off, like a school teacher.
Anyway eventually, if you feel so inclined with your time I would love to read (as a pervert fan with back
against the same wall) the exact moment, circumstace, year, album, time period, that you drifted apart from Bob. I am
not a only a Bob fanatic, I have many fanaticisms This is entirely for my personal curosity but I think it would make interesiting
reading on your site next year
love Steve
p.s. sorry if you thought I had all those tracks on the internet. If you ever get
round to reading Serge et Moi I can send you a copy without certain weird spelling mistakes which were not there before the fucking computers. Good
luck! ##
